We visited Gubbio Italy for the Festa dei Ceri (St. Ubaldo Race of the Saints as it is known in Jessup PA ) in May of 2008 and stayed in a beautiful house, Vigna Renaro, on a mountainside overlooking the valley and the hills of Umbria in the distance. These lovely little flowers were in bloom amongst the rocks along the road that wound up the hill to our house. I don't know which I like better, the fuschia pink of the blossom or the cool blue-green of the very elegant leaves.
